It points out that no breach of security was made, adding that it was happy to receive A$282 ($217) of Australian taxpayers' money, as the ABC is state-funded. Virgin Blue has called the stunt "puerile" and "childish humour" that was "not appropriate in the current security climate". Two people were killed and more than 100 hospitalized after the plane crash-landed at San Francisco. During a live newscast Friday KTVU Channel 2 reported the names of. Fellow travellers at Sydney's Kingsford Smith airport were reportedly alarmed at the names being called, with some assuming it was a coded call to security staff of an incident unfolding. Kyder and Wrist were among five passengers named in a final boarding call after Morrow failed to board the aircraft. The e-ticket reference numbers were loaded into a self-serve kiosk that did not require identity proof and boarding cards (pictured below) were issued. The tickets were in the names of "Al Kyder" and "Mr Terry Wrist," New South Wales daily Sydney Morning Herald is reporting. I have started a discussion with our devs to see if it would be possible to update these older games on Steam if we have the language files readily available. In checking through each of the games, I find that Myst V is the only game distributed to Steam with all the languages it was published with, all others are English only. I thought that the information up on Steam clearly stated that not all of the games were available in all of the languages they were released in. Please do accept my apology for not getting back to you sooner. I have received all of your emails inquiring into the localization of our games that are currently up on Steam. Unwrapped original Opal Fruits (strawberry, orange, lemon and lime from left to right) brought back in 2021 as a limited editionĪs of August 2016, the advertising slogan for Starburst is "Unexplainably Juicy". These lozenge shaped chews have a liquid fruit juice centre, and come packaged with the tag line "The chews that ooze." Each packet contains three flavours Orange & Mango, Raspberry & Orange and Pineapple & Orange. Lime Starburst made a comeback in 2007 as a limited-edition "retro" flavour in packages of the "Baja" version, while the range in the UK was further extended with a version named Starburst Choozers. In the US, Starburst contains non-vegan gelatin in its ingredients. Starburst in the UK is vegetarian, its packaging and website clearly stating "Suitable for Vegetarians", and also does not contain any artificial colours or flavours. Europe and the United States also has the "Sour" assortment, which includes Apple, Cherry, Pineapple and Raspberry, as well as Strawberry Mix. Among the additional flavours are Strawberry Lemonade, Strawberry-Banana, Blue Raspberry, Blue Raspberry Rush, Cherry Splash, Citrus Slush, Kiwi, Banana, Plum, Passion Fruit, Mango, Blueberry, Blackberry, Raspberry, Melon, Watermelon, Tropical Punch, Green Apple, Orange Cream, Mixed Berries and Cream, Peaches and Cream and Strawberry and Cream. The original flavours are now branded "Original Fruits", and Starburst now comes in several assortments: FaveREDs, Limited Edition Retro Fruits, Tropical, Baja California, Sour, Strawberry Mix, Berries and Creme, Very Berry and Fruity Slushies. On 6 October 2008, Mars acquired Wrigley and it transferred Mars' non-chocolate candy brands, including Starburst, to the Wrigley subsidiary. In 2008, however, the supermarket chain Asda revived the original Opal Fruits in the UK for a period of 12 weeks starting on. The brand name Opal Fruits was phased out in the UK, followed by Ireland in 1998 in order to standardise the product in a globalised marketplace. The UK 'Twenty-one Fruits' limited edition original Opal Fruits branding In Europe, the lemon and lime flavours were combined to become a singular "lemon and lime" flavour to make room for a blackcurrant flavour. Subsequently, its first variant, "Sunshine Flavors", was released, and was later renamed "Tropical Opal Fruits". Originally, Starburst came in the same flavours as Opal Fruits, though the lime flavour was replaced by cherry in the US in the early 1980s. While the etymology of the name Starburst is not certain, it was probably an attempt to express the burst of flavour at each bite, and draw attention while space interest was at its peak during the Space Race. Opal Fruits were introduced in the United States in 1967 as M&M's Fruit Chewies and later as Starburst. Produced at their factory in Slough, Berkshire, the four original flavours were strawberry, lemon, orange and lime. The brand was introduced by Mars in the UK in 1960, named Opal Fruits by Peter Phillips (known as Peter Pfeffer at the time), the winner of a competition that won him £5. Introduced in the United Kingdom in 1960, the regular flavours are blackcurrant, lemon and lime, orange and strawberry. Starburst has many different varieties, such as Tropical, Sour, FaveREDs, Watermelon, Very Berry, Superfruit, Summer Blast and Original. Starburst (originally known as Opal Fruits) is the brand name of a box-shaped, fruit-flavoured soft taffy candy manufactured by The Wrigley Company, which is a subsidiary of Mars, Incorporated. Cherry (red), lemon (yellow), strawberry (pink) and orange flavoured starbursts These types of flooring should both be used with an underlay to support the floating floor and reduce noise. Is Vinyl or Laminate Flooring Easier to Lay?īoth laminate flooring and luxury vinyl tiles often make use of click install systems that make them super easy to install, even for a DIYer. Good quality laminate starts from around £15 per m/2, ranging to £30 per m/2, before it's being replaced by more expensive engineered wood and solid wood flooring. LVT prices start from around £20 per m/2, but premium brands such as Harvey Maria sit around the £40-£50 per m/2 mark. LVT is more widely considered a premium product, which means it can command higher prices at the more expensive end of the scale. Both laminate and LVT are cheaper than solid wood flooring. When it comes to laminate vs LVT flooring, prices are in the same realms. Vinyl sheet flooring is likely the cheapest option, with most styles priced from around £10 per m/2. It costs £34.99 per m/2 (Image credit: Quick-Step) This Canyon Oak vinyl flooring from QuickStep's Balance Click+ range has V-grooved panels for an authentic timber look. LVT is more prone to fading than laminate, which often has superior protection against sunlight Which Costs More: Laminate or Vinyl? If using in an area that's highly exposed to sunlight, such as a conservatory or glazed extension, it's worth investigating your flooring's UV protection. Laminate flooring is easier to repair using a colour-match repair kit. Of course, this isn't to say they're indestructible: vinyl can be dented by heavy furniture and laminate flooring can still be scratched. Is Laminate More Durable than Vinyl?ĭue to their hardwearing protective surfaces, both vinyl and laminate are good, durable options for your home, far less prone to scratching and damage than hardwood floor. However, you'll find that LVT at the higher end of the price range is getting better and better, with more realistic timber grains than ever - even incorporating textured knots into the finish that may just cinch the battle of which looks better for vinyl. When it comes to replicating timber flooring, which is largely where the two would compete, it's a relatively level playing field, especially when looking at textured finishes. It's a tough call on which type of flooring looks better, as it will largely depend on the individual brands and the designs within their collections. (Image credit: the floor room) Which Looks Better: Laminate or Vinyl Flooring? While laminates tend to be thought of as used to recreate wood effects, there are styles, such as this design from the Floor Room, that are used to create faux stone looks. LVT flooring can, again feature a textured surface, and this is often employed on timber-effect design to recreate the natural grain of hardwood flooring. Luxury vinyl tiles and planks are largely composed of PVC, and again feature a high quality photograph to create a printed effect. There are also modern, high quality vinyl sheeting options available, sometimes to referred to as LVS, which is a premium take on the sheet vinyl idea. Sheet vinyl is far less commonly used in this day and age, but because of its low price and durability, it's still used in low-cost housing and rental properties. Vinyl flooring can be broken down into two categories: With good quality laminates, these layers will also be textured to give a better sense of realness to these, again usually timber, alternatives. Laminate flooring is made up of several layers, including a high density fibreboard core, the high quality photographic layer that creates the effect and a durable protective layer on top. Can I use gdebi for all other installations of. To install the b and rely on the APT machinery to pull all the dependencies, I used the simple tool gdebi (Ubuntu's standard "software center" is suited for this task this equally well theoretically), which I had discovered thanks to Is it safe to use gdebi instead of Ubuntu Software Center to install. (In my case, I'm using linux-image-extra-3.19.0-28-generic.) You may install a specific linux-image-extra-.-generic package instead of the last command above (which would pull less dependencies). Another computer with a different hardware boots in unstable manner however. In general, this works well: on one computer of mine, without any problems at all. (I learned this was possible thanks to the advice at. (Of course, you should have a fallback i386 kernel of another version already installed and tested to be safe.) That's basically a matter of: dpkg -add-architecture amd64Īnd reboot into the new kernel. amd64 With DraftSight, you can easily create professional CAD drawings. I did the experiment on 15.04 (Vivid)/i386 and with the last b whose version is reported by dpkg as follows: $ dpkg-query -l draftsight (maybe optional) apt-get install libgstreamer0.10-0:amd64 gstreamer0.10-plugins-base:amd64 libnss-mdns:amd64 libodbc1:amd64 libgnomeui-0:amd64 libmng2:amd64.dpkg -extract overlay-scrollbar-gtk2_0.2.16+r359+0319-0ubuntu1_b / (Actually, apt-get install overlay-scrollbar-gtk2:amd64 works nicely in 15.10 (Wily), no need for the dirty hack!).Installing some amd64 packages ultimately did the trick and it runs now.Īpt-get install libcanberra-gtk-module:amd64 gtk2-engines-murrine:amd64 Second, it refused to run reporting that some of the plugins couldn't be loaded. Solution: apt-get install libgl1-mesa-glx:amd64.Then, the installed executable DraftSight didn't run because some amd64 libraries were still missing (also not correctly reflected by the formal dependencies of the package.) First, it couldn't link to a missing dynamic library (. Solution: apt-get install libgtk2.0-0:amd64.(It was not forced by the dependencies of the package.) Still, there was a problem that the installation script of the package required an additional prerequisite amd64 library to be able to run. deb must have been a straightforward thing to do. The key to the solution is the ability to install and run an amd64 kernel in i386 Ubuntu system by adding the amd64 repository as a source for packages.I've managed to install and run the 64bit new DraftSight in a 32bit Ubuntu system (of course, on 64bit processor). Resolution: PBR stone texture seamless come in different resolutions, typically measured in pixels. Here are the key technical details that you should consider when working with PBR stone floor textures: The technical specifications of PBR stone textures are crucial to understanding their compatibility and usage in various digital projects. Technical Specifications of the PBR Stone Texture Test the tiling to confirm its seamless nature. This is especially important for large surfaces like walls and floors. Seamless Tiling: If you're using a seamless stone texture, ensure that it seamlessly tiles without any visible seams when repeated. Adjust the material properties of the texture, such as roughness, metallicness, and ambient occlusion, to achieve the desired level of realism and interaction with lighting in your scene. Most software offers tools for easy manipulation of texture attributes.Īpplying PBR Settings: PBR stone textures are designed to respond naturally to lighting and shading. Ensure that the texture aligns correctly with the geometry for a realistic outcome.Īdjusting Scale and Rotation: Depending on the size and orientation of the surface you're applying the stone wall texture seamless to you may need to adjust the scale and rotation of the texture to achieve the desired look. Apply the texture to the appropriate surface or object by using texture mapping techniques like UV mapping. Texture Mapping: Integrate the chosen stone PBR texture into your 3D modeling software. Consider factors such as the type of stone (e.g., natural stone, black stone, paving stone texture), the intended surface (e.g., wall, floor, parquet), and whether you need a seamless stone texture for tiling purposes. Selecting the Right Texture: Choose the PBR stone seamless texture that best suits your project's requirements. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you effectively use PBR stone textures: How to Apply the PBR Stone Texture in Your Projects?Īpplying PBR stone textures in your projects is a straightforward process that can significantly enhance the visual appeal and realism of your 3D renders, architectural visualizations, and digital art. In architectural visualization, Stone Texture finds extensive use in creating lifelike building facades, interior elements, and outdoor landscapes. These textures can be seamlessly tiled, meaning they can be repeated infinitely without showing any visible seams, allowing for easy application on large surfaces like walls, floors, or even complex 3D models. The appeal of PBR stone texture seamless lies in their seamless integration. These textures are designed using the principles of Physically Based Rendering (PBR), which means they respond naturally to lighting and environmental conditions in virtual environments. A stone PBR texture offers a visually captivating and realistic representation of various stone surfaces. Other studies have suggested the Sumatran rhinoceros is more closely related to the two African species. A detailed cladistic analysis of the Rhinocerotidae placed Rhinoceros and the extinct Punjabitherium in a clade with Dicerorhinus, the Sumatran rhinoceros. Different studies have hypothesised that they may be closely related to the extinct Gaindatherium or Punjabitherium. Although belonging to the type genus, the Indian and Javan rhinoceroses are not believed to be closely related to other rhino species. Molecular estimates suggest the species may have diverged much earlier, around 11.7 million years ago. The Indian rhinoceros is known from Early Pleistocene localities in Java, South China, India and Pakistan. The Indian and Javan rhinoceroses, the only members of the genus Rhinoceros, first appear in the fossil record in Asia during the Early Pleistocene. Into the Holocene, some rhinoceros lived as far west as Gujarat and Pakistan until as recently as 3,200 years ago. In the Pleistocene, the genus Rhinoceros ranged throughout South and Southeast Asia, with specimens located on Sri Lanka. unicornis appear in the Middle Pleistocene. The extant family, the Rhinocerotidae, first appeared in the Late Eocene in Eurasia, and the ancestors of the extant rhino species dispersed from Asia beginning in the Miocene. Mitochondrial DNA comparison suggests the ancestors of modern rhinos split from the ancestors of Equidae around 50 million years ago. Several specimens were described since the end of the 18th century under different scientific names, which are all considered synonyms of Rhinoceros unicornis today: Īncestral rhinoceroses first diverged from other perissodactyls in the Early Eocene. As type locality, he indicated Africa and India. Rhinoceros unicornis was the scientific name used by Carl Linnaeus in 1758 who described a rhinoceros with one horn. The Latin word ūnicornis means "one-horned". The generic name Rhinoceros is a combination of the ancient Greek words ῥίς ( ris) meaning "nose" and κέρας ( keras) meaning "horn of an animal". Nearly 85% of the global Indian rhinoceros population is concentrated in Assam, where Kaziranga National Park contains 70% of rhino population. However, poaching remains a continuous threat, as more than 150 Indian rhinos were killed in Assam by poachers between 20. Since then, numbers have increased due to conservation measures taken by the government. In the early 1990s, between 1,870 and 1,895 Indian rhinos were estimated to have been alive. Indian rhinos once ranged throughout the entire stretch of the Indo-Gangetic Plain, but excessive hunting and agricultural development reduced its range drastically to 11 sites in northern India and southern Nepal. Pobitora Wildlife Sanctuary in Assam has the highest density of Indian rhinos in the world with 84 individuals in an area of 38.80 km 2 (14.98 sq mi) in 2009. Kaziranga National Park alone had an estimated population of 2,048 rhinos in 2009. As of August 2018, the global population was estimated to comprise 3,588 individuals, including 2,939 individuals in India and 649 in Nepal. Moreover, the extent and quality of the rhino's most important habitat, the alluvial Terai-Duar savanna and grasslands and riverine forest, is considered to be in decline due to human and livestock encroachment. It is listed as Vulnerable on the IUCN Red List, as populations are fragmented and restricted to less than 20,000 km 2 (7,700 sq mi). The Indian rhinoceros ( Rhinoceros unicornis), or Indian rhino for short, also known as the greater one-horned rhinoceros or great Indian rhinoceros, is a rhinoceros species native to the Indian subcontinent. Shades: 2 | Translucent: Yes | Long-Lasting: Yes | Cruelty-Free: No However, because of the translucency, this isn’t a big concern. While our tester loved the doe foot applicator, she explained that because the wand is so long, it makes controlled application a bit tricky. If we could change one thing about it, it would be the length of the wand. Our tester shared that because of its transparent finish, it didn’t affect the color integrity of her eyeshadows which she appreciated. While the original shade is completely transparent making it an excellent choice for all skin tones, the shade Light has a slight beige color to it which can help blur the appearance of veins on the eyelids.Įyeshadows apply effortlessly on top, and it helps to prevent creasing and fading throughout the day. The thin, lightweight consistency blends onto the eyelids with ease to create a smooth, soft canvas for eyeshadow. The brand is arguably most known for its award-winning complexion products, but we believe this eyeshadow primer from NARS deserves more attention. It applied well and kept my eyeshadow sealed in place throughout the long day.Ĭovergirl Lid Lock Up is available now at drugstores or pick it up at, , and applicator is a bit long which makes precise application tricky If you’re an avid eyeshadow primer user I think you’ll be happy with this one. I purposely tested the formula with shadows I knew creased on my eyes without a good base and this prevented creasing and fading easily. I wouldn’t say it intensified the color of my eyeshadow but it did aid my shadow in wearing longer. I wouldn’t say it’ll absorb excess oil but it does create a nice smooth base that will sit between your skin and your eyeshadow which will prolong their wear. It does a good job creating a nice solid base for eyeshadow to adhere to without being completely matte but setting to a satin finish. It’s thicker, creamy, and blends easily and transparently onto lids. I can do so easily enough since I have drier eyes and my shadow rarely creases.Ĭovergirl Lid Lock Up is actually formulated quite well. After that I tried a few different eyeshadow primers I liked but in the end I just ended up forgoing it completely. I actually used to use Urban Decay Primer Potion religiously before they changed the formula. I’m guilty of not using eyeshadow primer lately. Not to mention a little more pretty, fun, cute!? The black and white just isn’t doing it for me.Īnyway, the reason I mentioned this is because I had Lid Lock Up in my hand and I had to think for a second, “Don’t I have this already at home!? Are they re-promting it as something new?!” I realized quickly the reason it seemed so familiar was because it looked like Wet n Wild.īut I digress let’s get to the review portion of this post. If you’re going to redesign you might want to make sure your new packaging is a little more unique. I mean if Wet n Wild wasn’t in a tube they’d be identical! Eh! I realized that a lot of the “new” Covergirl packaging looks a lot like Wet n Wild’s core collection. I picked up Covergirl Lid Lock Up Eyeshadow Primer to review realizing something about Covergirl’s new packaging ( Yes, black and white packaging is here to stay and there) that it reminds me of Wet n Wild Photofocus Eyeshadow Primer. But why do werewolves feel sick when they smell a vampire nearby? And why do vampires take such joy in beating their fur-clad foes in a Supernatural Smackdown? It All Began In Glimmerbrook.Ī quick flick through The Diary of Greggorius Lunvik, a tome found whilst Scavenging in Moonwood Mill, details the tragic story of werewolf Greg and his beloved wife, Avelina. Though ghosts have existed as a life state in The Sims 4 since and early update, Paranormal Stuff upped the ante and fleshed out the paranormal lore by introducing haunted houses, the Paranormal Investigator career path, and two ghostly apparitions who make themselves very much at home. Ghosts (The Sims 4: Paranormal Stuff, 2021) The three Sages of Practical, Untamed, and Mischief Magic can make or break your journey as a sorcerer, so you'll have a lot to prove if you want to become the most powerful witch or wizard in the land. Through a secret portal lies a magical stronghold where spellcasters can train up, study Magical Tomes for new powers, and even purchase winged Familiars who have the opportunity to save them from the Grim Reaper should their magic prove fatally overwhelming. The sleepy village of Glimmerbrook is bubbling with hidden power. Spellcasters (The Sims 4: Realm Of Magic, 2019) Though their abilities differ slightly if they possess the Evil or Good Traits, their basic powers include Siren's Lullaby, Mermaid's Kiss and the ability to change weather and call dolphins. Mermaids, with their strikingly beautiful tails and inexorable connection to the heart of Sulanian culture, are the only occult life states that human Sims do not react negatively to. This collection of islands is a tropical paradise, with your Sim able to swim with a dolphin, throw a traditional Kava party, or even spot a mermaid skimming through the surrounding turquoise waters. In a vast departure from the morose grey stonework of Forgotten Hollow, mermaids carved out a home for themselves on the sun-soaked shores of Sulani. Mermaids (The Sims 4: Island Living, 2019) With a vast array of powers from Sunlight Resistance to Vampiric Charm, these immortal folk add a touch of malevolence to the everyday life of any Sim. Vampires established this sleepy Victorian town years ago - and there's a reason why Vladislaus Straud bears such a striking resemblance to his founding ancestors. Vampires (The Sims 4: Vampires, 2017)įog curls in thick tendrils around Forgotten Hollow, obscuring the sun more often than not and allowing its sharp-toothed inhabitants to move around by day. They can also disguise themselves as regular Sims in order to hide their true identities, and possess powers such as memory erase, analyse and empathise, helping them blend in. Sometimes, staying true to a bizarre theme across all Sims games, aliens can kidnap and potentially impregnate male Sims who use the telescope late at night. Not only does Get To Work allow you to make an alien in the Create-A-Sim menu, but it introduces these extra-terrestrial beings as NPCs whom your Sim can meet at a bar's Alien Night. Certainly there will be increment releases still coming in the 10.50 timeline and maybe even up to v10.55 or even v10.56, but otherwise the development stops here in what is this series version of the simulator. It is universal, and it's optimized for iPhone 5 and 6 series phones. Version 10.50 is more relevant than most X-Plane updates in the fact it could be the last version of series 10 of the simulator. I hesitate to call X-Plane a game, as it is a great simulation of flight. You may be tempted to buy some fancier planes, or just enjoy the free stuff. This free version of X-Plane is a nice gift to the iOS community. The first major update for X-Plane 10 mobile has been released This update includes two new airliners and additional challenges, a map available during Freeflight, two navigation tutorials, bug fixes, and more. You can lose hours just flying around, doing some sightseeing, and landing again. On my iPad Air, the graphics are smooth and the terrain and flight instruments are very detailed. X-Plane is impressive software for any computer platform. A built-in flight school will teach you about the basics of flying. This screen combines miniature versions of the dialogs which are used to open aircraft, choose an airport, and set up the weather. El Capitan, Sierra, High Sierra, Mojave, Catalina) Windows: Windows 8 or 10, 64-bit Linux: Varies While X-Plane 11 will run on Linux, we don’t provide support for specific distributions if you want to run on Linux, you will need to try X-Plane on your distribution to see if it is compatible. With Game Center, you can participate in multi-player adventures. As of XPlane 10.10, the first thing you see when you launch XPlane (unless you disable it by unchecking the box in the bottom right corner) is the Quick Flight screen, as seen in Figure 5.1. Planes you can add as purchases include an F-22 Raptor, an F-4 Phantom and seven more aircraft including the Airbus A320 jetliner. X-Plane lets you decide the time of day you are going to fly in. Cities are rendered with 3D buildings that sparkle at night. Like the version that runs on the Mac, you can set equipment failures and really horrible weather to fly in. A tap gives you views outside the plane from multiple angles. You can look freely around the cockpit by dragging your finger. The free version lets you fly a Cessna 172, and gives you access to all the scenery areas including The Grand Canyon, Seattle, Alaska, Hawaii and the mountains of Austria. X-Plane 10 is free, but if you want additional planes there are a few in-app purchases. Today, the creators of X-Plane have released a brand new version for iOS devices. It's accurate enough to have received FAA certification for some phases of flight training, and TUAW editor Steve Sande even mentioned seeing airline pilots waiting to get on their aircraft "playing" with X-Plane 9 on their iPhones. X-Plane is the premier flight simulator for Mac, Windows and Linux computers as well as iOS. |
